When twitchels, aka power pop architect Gareth Leggeat and co were asked by their friends at Nottingham based DIY label Winnetka Records to produce a Christmas song, they chose to honour their favourite festive song by the mighty Low.

With some affectionate swipes at a number of familiar Yuletide favourites, Ode to Just Like Christmas chronicles a lifetime of sometimes tolerating, but otherwise actively avoiding the annual torrent of Christmas standards that are inflicted on the world every year, seeking solice in the timeless Low classic from 1999.



Twitchels are currently working on the follow up to their 2021 mini-LP, ‘It’ll be alright (in the end)’ which is available on Bandcamp at twitchels.bandcamp.com
