Described as a hard mod/punk band, Hard Left are fronted by Mike Schulman, head honcho at California’s Slumberland records. Founded in 1989, the label has released records by Velocity Girl, Stereolab, Joanna Gruesome, The Wolfhounds, The June Brides and Pete Astor. Hard Left’s Bandcamp page notes that the combo is ‘a political punk band inspired by liberatory leftist movements that privileges the “we over the I”. I’ll take all of that you’ve got!
