Shindig magazine describes the songs of the Lancashire Hustlers as 'memorable, timeless,...uniquely British, eccentric and compelling". The duo of Ian Pakes and Brent Thorley consider their albums to be 'pop operas', which I kinda like. 'Snow upon Snow' was released in 2018.

The band has released six albums through BDI and Steep Hill, including What Made Him Run (2015), of which Liverpool Sound and Vision had this to say: ' A rare album...one that sits by its courage and conviction and comes out on top'.
