Helen love was formed back in 1992 and the legendary indie combo has released albums on Damaged Goods, Elefant and Alcopop! down the years. Their current album Songs From Under the Bed Vol 2 was released earlier this year. The band has flirted with Christmas music on and off, including a single release with Wat Tyler in 1993, their cover of the Ramones Merry Christmas, I Don't Want to Fight in 2001 and this corker from 2015, where the band is backed by Tim Wheeler (Ash), Andrea Lewis (The Darling Buds), Pete Green (The Sweet Nothings) and Charlie Darling (Les Bicyclettes de Belsize).
On a personal note, I'd like to thank Helen for her song recommendations and for convincing one or two labels to come on board with the project.
